St. Louis did all of it's offensive work in the 1st inning when they tallied 4 runs on 4 hits. That was all the runs Jacob Degrom(5-9) needed. Degrom was helped out by Pedro Baez who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 10th save. Blake Snell(3-12) was charged with the loss. He pitched 7 innings giving up 8 hits and 4 walks. WASHINGTON AT LOS ANGELES Nationals....... 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 2 7 1 Dodgers......... 0 3 0 0 2 1 0 3 - 9 12 1 Win:Buehler(7-5) Loss:Minor(9-5) Homeruns- A.Judge(17th), O.Albies(15th), C.Bellinger(33rd), S.Hilliard(10th) Second baseman Ozzie Albies had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Walker Buehler mowed down 11 Washington batters as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Washington Nationals by a score of 9 to 2 at Dodger Stadium. Albies had a good day at the plate. He lined a one-base hit in the 1st inning, laced a single which scored a run in the 2nd inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 5th inning and delivered a base-hit in the 6th inning. Los Angeles out-hit Washington for the game, 12 hits to 7. The victory was credited to Buehler(7-5) who went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs. Mike Minor(9-5) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 9 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings. When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Buehler offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands. Fortunately, I kept them busy this afternoon - of course, it would be all for naught without the 'W'.'
